The Sunnyside Up Design Assistance Program is available to Sunnyside property owners and businesses to provide professional assistance on rehabilitation projects in the neighborhood. A professional architect reviews plans and makes design suggestions for projects. This service is not meant to replace the need for professional assistance on projects but provides suggestions and alternative methods to accomplish renovations. The SunnysideUp-Campus Neighborhoods Revitalization Corporation provides owners of property in the Sunnyside Neighborhood of Morgantown, funds to renovate exterior elements of existing units to improve the overall appearance and safety of these units. The program provides current owners of property the opportunity to receive matching grants of up to $3,000 to improve exterior elements of exisiting units. | Sunnyside Up Sidewalk Grant Program |
Sunnyside Up is interested in improving the condition of curbs and sidewalks in the Sunnyside neighborhood. The program is similar to the Facade Grant Program. Sunnyside Up will match the property owner up to $3,000 toward the replacement of sidewalks in the Sunnyside neighborhood. | Non-TIF Infrastructure Grant Program |
The Non-TIF Infrastructure Grant Program is designed to address infrastructure needs in the Sunnyside Neighborhood that are outside of the TIF project area. This is a flexible grant program that is limited to off site infrastructure needs and is coordinated with the Morgantown Utility Board or other affected utility. Property owners and developers are encouraged to contact the Sunnyside Up office prior to beginning construction.

Graffiti continues to be a problem in Sunnyside and the Board of Directors of Sunnyside Up have taken and agressive approach to this problem. Sunnyside Up has approved a Reward Program for the arrest and conviction of persons defacing public or private property. The Reward Program is modeled after successful Graffiti Prevention Programs in other cities and provides up to $1000 for the arrest and conviction of persons defacing public or private property. You can remain anonomyous. If you have information concerning graffiti, please contact the offices of Sunnyside Up.

| West Virginia Housing Development Fund Programs |
Sunnyside Up has a partnership with the West Virginia Housing Development Fund and we are able to provide additional programs to assist landlords and property owners improve the condidtion of their rental property. The Housing Fund also is a major source of mortage financing by first time homebuyers throughout West Virginia.
The Mini-Mod Rehabilitation Program provides landlords affordable financing to renovate existing apartment units. The term of these loans may be up to ten years, up to $20,000 per unit, with an interest rate of 6%, which is subject to change. Loans are restricted to the actual cost of renovations. Loans are secured by a lien on the property and can be subject to a prior first lien to the current lender. Under this program, there are no tenant income or rent restrictions.
